Meet your framer
“Hmmm, this could be fun.”
I began framing “temporarily” in the mid 1990s, thinking, “Hmmm, this could be fun,” and I never looked back! I was quickly drawn into the industry not only because of the art of picture framing design, but also the stories BEHIND the framing. In the past, I have worked as a staff framer, opened and staffed new frame shops for a small company expansion, and as a district manager for a national framing company before taking the leap into ownership with Applewood Gallery in 2003.
I attend trade shows regularly and network extensively with framers from all over the world in order to keep abreast of the best preservation techniques and newest technologies in the framing industry. I am a designated Certified Picture Framer through the Professional Picture Framing Association. I take a lot of pride in the fact that I have framed for museums, collectors, artists, and clientele looking to enhance their space.
I appreciate both the trust placed in me for designing and for framing, but also the relationships I have built. I love putting together a design combination for a client and hearing, “I would never have thought of that; I LOVE IT!”
